A world first! GEAR TOP Eco Oil, a domestically produced eco-oil that uses 30% less fossil fuels, is now on sale

Motobayashi Co., Ltd. (located in Nishi-ku, Osaka City) is a long-established trading company of smoking accessories. With the slogan "The world's highest standard oil lighter in your pocket!", in December 2016 they launched "GEARTOP®", a high-quality and unprecedented "ECO" oil lighter that incorporates Japan's cutting-edge metal processing technology.

Oil lighters require refilling with oil depending on how often they are used, but in order to be even more eco-friendly, we asked the research and testing department of a Japanese oil company to develop an eco-oil product. After carrying out numerous combustion tests, we have completed the world's first eco-oil (※1), "GEAR TOP Eco Oil," which will be released in late June 2018.
(※1) Brazil is currently leading the way in selling bioethanol fuel for automobiles.

① Made in Japan lighter oil containing 30% Japanese bioethanol. We aimed to reduce the use of fossil fuels and create an oil that is as environmentally friendly as possible. (General oil lighter fuel uses 100% fossil fuels. These do not use limited resources effectively and are not environmentally friendly.)

② Recycled parts are used in some oil cans

③ Using the oil lighter "GEARTOP" together with "GEAR TOP Eco Oil" is even more economical. GEAR TOP oil lighters can be used continuously for about 1 days with about 10ml of oil per fill. GEAR TOP Eco Oil is 30ml (60ml x 10 times), so one bottle can be used for about half a year.

Generally, disposable lighters are thrown away as garbage when the gas runs out, and there is also the problem of them being littered on the street, but oil lighters can be used for a long time by refilling them with oil, which also leads to reducing the amount of garbage that is disposed of. Considering these points, oil lighters themselves can already be said to be eco-friendly, but in order to put into practice even more eco-friendliness, we have developed "Eco Oil", which uses less fossil fuels.
