"Good tableware, especially for children" We have started crowdfunding on CAMPFIRE for "Nico Plate", a tableware made from reinforced Arita porcelain!
Motobayashi Co., Ltd. has started crowdfunding on CAMPFIRE for "Nico Plate," a children's tableware made of Arita-yaki reinforced porcelain that is easy to eat from and resistant to breakage, to make mealtimes for children more fulfilling and safer.

While exploring ways to collaborate with local industries, our Kyushu office came across Takumi Corporation, a company based in Arita, Saga Prefecture, that specializes in the manufacture of reinforced porcelain.
"We want to carefully select the first tableware a child will use. We want them to remember mealtimes as fulfilling times when they use real tableware," said Takumi Co., Ltd., and based on this idea, we have launched a project to "Cultivate the dining table of the future with child-friendly, real tableware," which combines the traditional techniques of Arita ware with modern lifestyles.
"Containers for growing things" instead of plastic
Children's tableware is generally made of plastic, which is light and shatter-resistant, but there are also many complaints that it "retains odors and stains," "lacks warmth in texture," and "feels cheap." With the desire to "make the precious 'meal time' more fulfilling and safe," we decided to create new tableware for the future of children by using "reinforced porcelain," which combines traditional Arita ware techniques with shatter-resistance and ease of use.
"Nico Plate" aims to be "the authentic product that parents would want to choose for their child."
I hope that it will leave a gentle, warm memory on the dinner table of those who pick it up.
We appreciate your support.
